A Parent's Prayer

In your eyes
I see possibility;
ev’rything there is to see.
In your eyes
I encounter destiny;
the one I am meant to be.
In your eyes
I behold holy mystery;
            veiled in living poetry.
In your eyes
I greet eternity;
           heaven looking back at me.
