Community

The point is community,
not unanimity or uniformity;
to work together for the sake of one another;
to look out for the most vulnerable in our midst;
to seek justice for the marginalized;
to ensure liberation for the oppressed;
to strive for equity for all, not simply equality;
to celebrate our wonderful diversity;
to draw near to one another,
for proximity drives out ignorance and fear;
and ultimately to love.
