Too Much Space

They were told they took up too much space,
so they began to shrink even more.
Until they realized that they belonged
to the space they occupied,
and it belonged to them.
They were created to be in it.
And someone else’s insecurities
were never a reason to diminish their light.
So they began to shine all the more.
